On January 30th (next Wednesday), congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will be having a meeting to discuss the "repurposing plan" ("closing") of Emerson elementary. The meeting will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Methodist church located at Coral Way and 79th street. There will be a bus at Emerson elementary (Sandra's bus service) for those that need transportation. The bus will leave at 10:00 a.m.

is this meeting intended for the GRANDPARENTS only...we the parents work, can't it be rescheduled for 6:30 pm so that parents can attend! Please however set up the meeting that this is not a senior citizen's comedor...where the congresswoman can speak to the senior set...please can me re-schedule this?
There are many parents and taxpayers who have already made arrangements to be there. It would be a great idea however, to have several meetings with respect to this very important matter at various times and dates so that everyone can attend at least one meeting. What's most important is for the community to show the school board that we will go everywhere we have to and as many times as we must to "Keep Emerson Open"!
